ANFO

ANFO represents a classic ANFO explosive mixture. Depending on the mining characteristics, it can often replace or be combined with packaged powder explosives.

The explosive is delivered to the surface mine site by a special ADR vehicle or stored in a warehouse. The explosive from the bags is directly loaded into the mining boreholes.

Due to its relatively low density and consistency (porous granules of ammonium nitrate), it completely fills the mining borehole, distributing evenly in height and with lower concentration per meter, as it has a small bulk mass.
